RS Crum - Mark Rylance

As President and CEO, Mr. Rylance oversees RS Crum’s overall investment strategy and is the lead advisor to many of the firm’s clients. Mark joined RS Crum in 2003 after spending several years building his own financial advisory practice with Merrill Lynch. Actively involved in the community, Mark is a past President of the Orange County Financial Planning Association (FPA) and is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). He has also volunteered his time on a number of philanthropic projects, including Advisors in Philanthropy (AIP), Junior Achievement, Working Wardrobes, the Ronald Simon Foundation, “It’s Your Money” and Interval House. Mark is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He is married and has two children.


Jon R. Theriault, MBA, CFP® jon@rscrum.com


In addition to being a principal of RS Crum and lead advisor to many of the firm’s clients, Mr. Theriault also manages the company’s day-to-day operations. Jon joined RS Crum in 2008 after 13 years of providing specialized advisory services to business owners, including running his own mergers and acquisitions firm. As a result, he has a unique understanding of the emotional and complex decisions that impact business owners and families as they contemplate major transitional events. A member of the FPA as well as NAPFA, Jon is also a Charter Board Member of The Center for Investment and Wealth Management at UC Irvine and regularly volunteers to teach financial management classes through his local church. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Arizona and an MBA from Pepperdine University. Jon is married and has three children.



Bob GreenbergBob Greenberg, CFP®

Mr. Greenberg recently joined RS Crum after many years of running his own successful wealth management firm in Orange County. A lead advisor to many of the firm’s clients, Bob brings significant experience and perspective in helping people navigate through the confusion and stress of major life transitions such as the sale of a business, retirement, inheritance, or the loss of a spouse. Bob is a contributing author of two books, Financial Planning for Physicians and Healthcare Professionals and Financial Planning for Business Owners, and has been quoted in numerous industry trade publications over the years. Bob has served as Chairman of the Board of the American Heart Association in Orange County, is an Ambassador of the Orange County Community Foundation, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Social Enterprise Institute. A graduate of California State University, Long Beach and member of the FPA, Bob is married with two daughters, a son-in-law, and one grandson.



Dan SextonDaniel E. Sexton, CFP®

A principal and lead advisor to many of the firm’s clients, Dan has been with RS Crum since 1996. Since that time, he has actively participated in nearly every facet of the business. In addition to managing the firm’s trading activities and regulatory compliance requirements, Mr. Sexton is well versed in a variety of financial planning areas and works closely with all of our advisors to ensure seamless integration of investment objectives and specific client circumstances. A member of the FPA, Dan graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor’s degree in business and a minor in Economics. He is married and has one daughter.



Charles CencibaughCharles D. Cencibaugh, CFP®

Mr. Cencibaugh assists in managing the firm’s day-to-day operations while serving as lead advisor to many of the firm’s clients. Prior to joining RS Crum in 1999, Chuck was with Home Savings and Loan Association for 24 years, where he primarily oversaw the company’s real estate development activities. Mr. Cencibaugh also spent several years working in civil engineering, land development and home building, giving him significant experience with complicated real estate issues. Chuck is a graduate of Fresno State College with a degree in Civil Engineering. A member of the FPA, Chuck is currently a resident of Balboa Island in Newport Beach where he frequently volunteers his time helping with local events in his community.



Richard S. Crum

Richard Crum founded RS Crum in 1976 and in doing so pioneered one of the first “fee only” advice and investment management firms in the country. Drawing from decades of experience across nearly all financial disciplines, Mr. Crum is currently the Chairman of the firm’s Investment Committee and consults on strategic planning matters for firm clients. A resident of Newport Beach, Dick lectures and teaches on the principles of investment management and wealth protection and serves on the governing Boards of two local charitable groups. Dick is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in Economics and Finance. He has been married since 1962 and has three daughters.



Patrick J. Stark

Pat joined RS Crum in 2011 after spending over 20 years in the aerospace and technology industries, where he held a variety of positions in program management, engineering, operations management, and plant management. Well versed in all aspects of financial planning, Mr. Stark works closely with all of our advisors while handling a wide array of financial planning issues for clients. Pat is a member of both the FPA and NAPFA, and serves on the advisory board of UCLA’s Personal Financial Planning program. Pat is also a frequent guest speaker at UCLA financial planning classes. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from U.C. Davis, a Certificate in Personal Financial Planning from UCLA, and a series 65 Investment Adviser license from the NASAA. Pat is married and has one son.



Janice Rodriguez

Janice has helped keep RS Crum running smoothly since joining the firm in 1999. Previously, Ms. Rodriguez was in management for a manufacturing concern where she had worked for over 20 years. Janice oversees many of the firm’s administrative areas, working with all of the firm’s advisors to ensure consistent client communication and reporting. Ms. Rodriguez resides in Orange County and enjoys spending time with her two children and six grandchildren.



Lynne Behunin

New to RS Crum, Ms. Behunin brings a diverse background of experience in the areas of professional office administration as well as operations and human resource management. Lynne will be working closely with all of our advisors in a client service and administrative capacity in addition to assisting with the management of our day-to-day operations. Lynne is a long time resident of Newport Beach and is actively involved in her church community.
